Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. This role works closely with the broader finance team to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations Support preparation of financial statements and variance analysis Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests Partner with cross-functional teams on accounting-related initiatives Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–4 years of general accounting experience

Experience with accounting ERP systems;
Great Plains (Dynamics GP) strongly preferred Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
