Senior Oil & Gas Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Accountant to support general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing account activity, and supporting financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting and journal entries

+ Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close

+ Prepare and review financial statements and reports

+ Analyze account activity and investigate variances

+ Maintain fixed asset and oil & gas property accounting records

+ Support Joint Interest Billing (JIB), revenue accounting, and financial reporting

+ Assist with audit and tax support as needed

+ Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

+ 7+ years of oil & gas accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and oil & gas accounting practices

+

Experience with JIB, revenue accounting, and month-end close

+

Experience with Wolfepak or similar oil & gas accounting systems

+ Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
