As an Accounting Supervisor, you will guide a team of accounting professionals as you continuously drive greater efficiencies and lower costs. You will collaborate with company partners to handle the accumulation, recording, accuracy and control of accounting transactions and assist in the resolution of accounting issues!

• Runs workforce planning and career development activities for team members
• Holds team accountable for performing all work in accordance with requirements, standards, policies, procedures and processes
• Coordinates efforts to ensure adequate financial accounting controls and integrity of our financial records
• Collaborates with others to establish and maintain accounting policies, standards and processes in compliance with GAAP and accounting regulations
• Collaborates to develop and handle financial analysis and reporting
• Leads sophisticated projects
• Communicates with senior leadership regarding data and analysis
• Leads staff responsible for certain regulated general accounting responsibilities
• Supports rate case efforts, as needed
• Identifies and supports opportunities to automate accounting processes
• Develops analytical processes to ensure compliance with FERC accounting guidelines
• Supports process and technical challenges for Corporate and Project allocations
• Ensures adherence to GAAP, FERC and SOX policies and supports audit and financial reporting requirements
• Other duties as assigned

• Required:
  
  Bachelor's degree in Accounting and minimum six (6) years of multifaceted accounting experience
• Preferred:
  Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
• Deep understanding of accounting procedures and policies
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team is preferred

Performs general supervisory tasks by leading work units that deal with general accounting or specialized accounting activities. Provides functional leadership in a team setting as well as plans and executes assignments of senior complexity. Develops, directs, plans and evaluates accounting policies and procedures including cost accounting, general accounting, and accounts payable and receivable. Involved in multi-discipline projects and interacts effectively with peers.

Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions, including the coordination and administration of assignments. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.
