JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
Performs accounts receivable duties such as receipt booking, cash application, customer collections, balance sheet account reconciliations, and other functions as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
* Prepare various journal entries, records, regulatory reports, and budget information
* Performs accounting functions related to customer accounting and accounts receivable reconciliations
* Assist with preparation of tax returns and supporting tax calculations
* Verify and/or perform calculations including, but not limited to:
* Ratios
* Percentages and discounts
* Allocations
* Account charges
* Utilize applicable micro and/or mainframe applications to assist with preparation and/or verification of information including, but not limited to:
* Governmental/regulatory reports
* Financial reports
* Quarterly income statements
* Provide information and assistance to auditors, governmental/regulatory staff, managers, employees, customers, and others concerning accounting activities
Education
* Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:
Work Experience
* Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
* Knowledge of: standard accounting methods and procedures
* Knowledge of: spreadsheet and word processing software applications, financial accounting and reporting standards and processes, corporate tax functions and preparation of returns, economic forecasting/modeling and corporate budget functions
* Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas
* Skills in: communication/interpersonal
* Ability to: perform various accounting activities
* Ability to: research and compose reports and correspondence applicable to position
* Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations, accounting/tax publications, auditors' requests, company correspondence, accounting software manuals, computer printouts, and legal documents
* Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instruction
* Ability to: interact and communicate effectively
