Accounting Manager – Public Accounting (Hybrid)

Salary: $110,000 – $145,000 per year.

Location:

Hybrid, in‑office 2‑3 days per week.

We are a premier accounting, tax, financial advisory and consulting organization founded in 1997. We seek an experienced Accounting Manager with public accounting experience to serve as Controller for clients outsourcing payroll and accounting services.

• Oversee multiple projects, consult with clients, deliver management reports, provide Quick Books/software training and other consulting services.
• Assist the tax department as needed for tax strategy and increase understanding of tax issues to better serve clients.
• Supervise 5‑7 accounting services team members, ensuring development, learning, and engagement.
• Oversee training programs for staff, identify knowledge gaps, and expand video library.
• Review and release monthly/quarterly/annual recurring project workflows.
• Oversee payroll tax form preparation, approvals, and payroll processing services.
• Consult on employee retention credits and other payroll tax credits.
• Assist in assessing WIP reports for billing purposes.
• Participate in development of standardized services menu and tech stack, divisional due dates, workload management, and implementation of outsourcing for data entry.

• BS/Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 5+ years of relevant public accounting experience with ability to manage clients and support the accounting service team.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Quick Books and other relevant software.
