Tax Accountant

MUST HAVE:

25+ years of INCOME TAX PREPARATION experience WITH A CPA FIRM (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Strong hands-on experience with Lacerte (MANDATORY profiles without this will be rejected)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience preparing multiple return types: 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041
Stable work history (NO JOB HOPPERS)
Candidate must be local to Tulsa, OK (within 40 miles) OR open to relocation (only if highly reliable)
Must be open to ONSITE work + FACE-TO-FACE interview

Core Responsibilities:

Prepare federal and state income tax returns for:
- Individuals (1040)
- Partnerships (1065)
- Corporations (1120 / 1120S)
- Trusts (1041)
Prepare and maintain accurate tax work papers
Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of all filings
Handle multiple client engagements across industries
Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail

- 4 Administrative Staff (including Office Manager)
Client industries include:
- Real Estate
- Medical
- Restaurants
- Attorneys
- Oil & Gas
Work includes Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Trust, and Non-Profit returns
No audit work 100% tax-focused role

Compensation & Benefits:

Ideal Candidate Profile Tax Accountant (CPA Firm)

25+ years hands-on income tax preparation experience in a CPA firm (MANDATORY)

Strong experience preparing 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 1041 returns

Expert-level usage of Lacerte (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

Working knowledge of Quick Books and Sage 50 Accounting

Solid Excel skills for tax work papers and data handling

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA not required but a plus)

Currently working or recently worked in a public accounting / CPA firm environment

Proven ability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously

Strong understanding of federal and state tax compliance

Experience preparing accurate and audit-ready tax work papers

High attention to detail with zero-error mindset

Stable career history (no frequent job changes)

Experience working with clients from Real Estate, Medical, Restaurants, Legal, Oil & Gas preferred

Comfortable working in a fast-paced tax season environment

Able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills with internal teams and clients

Must be local to Tulsa, OK (within 40 miles) or open to relocation (if highly reliable)

Fully committed to onsite work (no remote / no hybrid expectation)

Willing to attend face-to-face final interview

Can provide verified professional references at submission stage
