Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview: We’re anticipating an upcoming need for an Accounts Receivable Specialist on behalf of one of our valued clients. This position will play a key role in supporting their accounting team by managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer invoices and credit memos accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue balances and follow up to ensure timely collection
• Apply and reconcile payments/cash to customer accounts
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all receivable transactions
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies
• Prepare and review aging reports; assist with month-end close processes
• Support accounting leadership with reporting, audits, and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or Quick Books preferred)
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
