Senior Accountant
LEAP Advisory is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions and support the accuracy and timeliness of our clients financial records. This is a fully remote, part-time position; however, candidates must reside in the Tulsa metropolitan area. Local residency is required to support occasional in-person meetings, training, team collaboration, or client needs.
This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and monthly close processes for multiple clients. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to work independently while consistently meeting established deadlines. The position requires approximately 12-15 hours per week. Working hours are flexible but must follow a consistent, mutually agreed-upon weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering vendor bills
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Maintain vendor records and research account discrepancies
- Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and payment application
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile bank, credit card, balance sheet, and other general ledger accounts
- Complete monthly close processes accurately and within established deadlines
- Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules
- Maintain organized supporting documentation and accounting records
- Support year-end close activities and respond to external accountant requests
- Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls
- Communicate accounting questions, outstanding items, and potential issues to firm management and clients
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- At least five years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and monthly close procedures
- Experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online or similar accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion when handling confidential client information
- Must reside in the Tulsa metropolitan area
Schedule and Work Location
- Fully remote within the Tulsa metropolitan area
- Approximately 12-15 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling within normal business hours
- A consistent weekly schedule will be established based on the needs of the firm and the selected candidate
- Occasional attendance at in-person meetings, training sessions, or other business activities in the Tulsa area may be required
The ideal candidate is an experienced accountant who takes ownership of their work, identifies potential issues before they become problems, and can manage recurring accounting responsibilities for multiple clients with minimal oversight. This individual should be comfortable working remotely in a part-time role while maintaining consistent communication and dependable availability.
