Accounting Manager Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting functions, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records while driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

+ Oversee the fixed asset accounting process, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.

+ Manage commission calculations and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.

+ Prepare and submit governmental, regulatory, and industry reports as required.

+ Oversee the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.

+ Support annual audits and serve as a primary contact for external auditors.

+ Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.

+ Perform variance analysis and review balance sheet reconciliations.

+ Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional departments and provide accounting guidance as needed.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

+ 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

+ CPA designation strongly preferred.

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

+

Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.

+ Proven experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
