Senior Accountant- Manufacturing

I’m partnering with a large, publicly traded manufacturing organization to recruit a Senior Accountant for its plant accounting team in the Claremore/Verdigris area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with 3+ years of experience who wants broader exposure within a sophisticated manufacturing environment. You’ll join a relatively new accounting team that is open to fresh ideas, process improvements, and new ways of doing things.

• $85K–$100K+ base salary

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Accountant will have broad responsibility across plant and general accounting, including:

• Month-end and year-end close
• Journal entries and general ledger accounting
• Balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
• Manufacturing production, inventory, and cost accounting
• Variance analysis
• Fixed asset accounting and capital project tracking
• Capital expenditure analysis
• Accounts payable support and issue resolution
• Audit support
• Financial and management reporting
• Quarter-end and year-end activities
• Special projects and process improvement initiatives

You’ll also monitor production, shipments, and inventory activity and help ensure the accuracy of plant accounting information within the company’s ERP environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred; candidates coming from public accounting/audit with relevant manufacturing exposure may also be considered
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting
• Experience working within a larger, sophisticated corporate accounting environment
• Experience with a major ERP system required;
  SAP S/4
  
  HANA experience is a significant plus
• CPA or CMA preferred
• CPA eligible and/or interest in pursuing CPA certification is highly valued
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both accounting and plant operations

This role offers an attractive 9/80 work schedule
