Support daily mail operations in a fast-paced industrial office environment

An organization in the oil & energy sector is seeking a reliable Mailroom / Office Support Associate to manage incoming and outgoing mail, support internal departments, and help maintain smooth day-to-day office operations. This role is well-suited for someone detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable providing internal customer service.

Position Overview

The Mailroom / Office Support Associate is responsible for the accurate handling, tracking, and distribution of mail and packages across the organization. In addition to mailroom duties, this role provides light administrative and office support to ensure efficient internal communication and document flow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages in a timely manner
  • Prepare, meter, and dispatch outgoing mail and shipments in compliance with postal regulations
  • Maintain accurate tracking records for incoming and outgoing correspondence
  • Collect outgoing mail from designated departments on a scheduled basis
  • Post memos and official communications on assigned bulletin boards
  • Assist with printing, copying, and basic document preparation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional mailroom workspace
  • Provide courteous customer service to employees regarding mail status and delivery questions
  • Support additional administrative or office tasks as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Mailroom experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage routine tasks with accuracy
