Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Job Description
Performs various clerical activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, inventory control, entering purchase orders and expediting supply chain products, generating & sorting various reports in Excel. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require 2-3 years of general work experience. Possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job and manufacturing processes.
Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
Attainment of a minimum HS Diploma or its equivalent. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities. Preferred candidate would have a minimum of industry experience in a manufacturing environment and be proficient in MS Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Must have an attention to detail.
SkillsGood decision making, problem solving and excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. High school level mathematical skills. Ability to communicate in English effectively in written and spoken form, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Critical Tasks- Recognize opportunities for improvement and implement corrective action proactively.
- Organize and complete daily task requirements.
- Daily PO tracking administration.
- Maintain business-professional contact with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure work orders are created for requests.
- Purchase orders must be entered accurately and correctly in a fast‑pace mode.
- Filing old purchase orders daily.
- Must be able to maintain professional demeanor in fast‑pace work environment.
- Use of various computer systems and software.
- Assist others as needed.
- Use of Microsoft office software.
- Occasionally meet with internal team members, suppliers and/or customers.
- Work with vendors and team members to meet customer expectations.
While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and regularly be exposed to:
- Office Environment
- Humidity, loud noises, dirt
- Varying and extreme temperatures
- Sheet Metal
- Forklift traffic
