Job DescriptionThe Trade Operation Specialist I assists with the processing of transactions for International Operations which includes commercial letters of credit, standby letters of credit, documentary collections and related payments. This position is responsible for the daily reconciliation and balancing of the International general ledgers to the bank systems in addition to providing daily and monthly reporting to internal and external customers including the International Department manager.
Additionally, this position will coordinate supply orders, filing and administrative duties for the department.

How You'll Spend Your Time- You will execute the preliminary review of letters of credit, creating files and inputting all freely negotiable export letters into the back office system. You will ensure terms are within BOKF guidelines for negotiating and process outgoing letter of credit payments.
- You will maintain balances for the department’s general ledgers; prepare related reports; and collaborate with management to resolve accounting issues.
- You will review standby letters of credit for compliance and workability, collecting related fees after advising the client upon approval.
- You will perform departmental administrative tasks such as answering the main phone line, supply ordering, and the opening and distribution of department mail.
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of an Associate’s Degree in Business or 3 years’ office experience. Preferably general knowledge of world geography would be helpful due to the exposure to international banks.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles; good reconciliation skills; proficient aptitude for detail
- Excellent PC and software skills, i.e. Excel/Word
- Good oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and accurate in deadline‑driven, multitask‑oriented environment.
