Detailer​/Car Washer

We are looking for a motivated Detailer/Car Washer to join our team! This position plays an important role in supporting both our Sales and Service Departments by ensuring every vehicle meets Nelson Auto Group's appearance standards before being displayed or delivered to a customer. Job Responsibilities Wash vehicle exteriors using approved cleaning solutions, water, cloths, and brushes.

Vacuum vehicle interiors and remove dirt, debris, and loose particles.

Clean upholstery, carpets, windows, dashboards, and other interior surfaces.

Apply wax, polish, and protective treatments to vehicle exteriors.

Apply conditioners and protectants to vinyl, leather, and fabric surfaces.

Clean engines and engine compartments using approved equipment and cleaning products.

Remove stains, residue, and contaminants using specialized cleaning products and techniques.

Take and upload vehicle photos to dealership inventory systems as required.

Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for customer delivery and lot presentation.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized detailing and reconditioning area.

Operate and maintain detailing equipment and shop tools safely.

Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous automotive detailing experience is preferred but not required.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to follow directions and dealership procedures.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.

Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Frequent exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, soaps, waxes, and detailing products.

Ability to safely operate vehicles, pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, and other detailing equipment.

Comfortable working around moving vehicles and shop equipment.

Ability to perform repetitive motions using hands, arms, and shoulders throughout the workday.
