Roxtec is growing! We're hiring a Sourcing Manager to lead and build strategic supplier partnerships.
Job Summary
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing a competitive and reliable supplier base to support operational, quality, and strategic business goals. This role manages a team of costing specialists and strategic purchasers. They lead sourcing initiatives including regional supplier development, supplier qualification, costing, negotiations, and supplier performance management. The Sourcing Manager works cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Design and Finance teams to ensure a robust, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chain.
The position reports to the Operations Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new regional suppliers to support capacity, cost, and risk-mitigation objectives
- Lead supplier onboarding processes, including capability assessments, audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with the Quality team to drive quality and technical capability alignment
- Plan and conduct supplier audits focused on safety, quality, service, cost, capacity and compliance
- Maintain and improve supplier scorecards, tracking performance in quality, delivery, cost, communication responsiveness, and continuous improvement
- Hold regular review meetings with suppliers to drive corrective actions and performance improvement
- Develop and implement dual-sourcing strategies to reduce supply-chain risk and continuity of supply
- Analyze cost structures, market trends and supply risks to guide decisions on supplier selection and long-term sourcing strategy while executing cost-saving opportunities
- Manage the Sourcing team of costing specialists and strategic purchasers
- Lead negotiations on pricing, lead times, terms & conditions, NDAs and annual price-list updates
- Support annual planning through forecasting and cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate escalations, and support efforts to improve lead-time performance and resolve supplier nonconformance
- Participate in new product introduction projects to ensure suppliers meet design, quality, and timing requirements.
- Track, analyze, and report key sourcing metrics, including cost savings, lead-time reductions, supplier risk, and sourcing activity
- Maintain accurate records of supplier information, agreements, performance data, and sourcing documentation

Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge in the management of suppliers and supplier development
- Excellent leadership, project, and process management skills & experience
- Ability to lead and coach an effective Sourcing team
- Requires excellent communication and negotiation skills both verbal and written
- Analytical with deep understanding of cost modeling, market analysis, and supply-chain risks
- Solution oriented with a high focus on continual improvement
- Capable of making independent decisions and working with minimal supervision while maintaining a sense of urgency and personal responsibility to support our customers
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
- Proficient with ERP systems and analytical tools, including Excel
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing, vendor management, or closely related field
