Title: Procurement / Sourcing Specialist 1

Location: Tulsa, OK - Onsite

Duration: 12 months +

Summary

The main function of a procurement / sourcing specialist is to manage the procurement of goods and services for their organization, ensuring the best quality for the best price. A procurement / sourcing specialist is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts to optimize the company s buying power.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies and manage all stages of the procurement cycle.
  • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with procurement and supply contracts.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance and operations, to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company.
Skills
  • Proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar position with in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and manage contracts.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools, such as inventory management systems and supplier databases.
  • Analytical mindset with strategic thinking capabilities and high attention to detail.
  • Competence in making sound business decisions and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of procurement and business trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders and fostering key supplier relationships.
