Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Buyer to join our Americas Procurement Center team. In this role, you will support our field, operations, and engineering internal customers by handling competitive bidding, proposal analysis, contract negotiations, and order placement for a wide range of goods and services.
What We Are Looking ForThe ideal candidate will focus on maximizing our purchasing power, driving cost efficiencies, reducing the total cost of ownership, and protecting the company through sound commercial and legal terms.
Education- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business‑related field (equivalent purchasing services experience will be considered).
- 2 to 5 years of progressive experience within a Supply Chain Management organization.
- Proficient hands‑on knowledge of SAP and Oracle R2 procurement/reporting modules.
- High proficiency with collaboration tools, specifically the Google Workspace ecosystem (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Calendar, and Gmail).

- Ensuring that all requests have clearly defined mechanical and performance specifications and/or scope of work to effectively communicate company requirements to potential suppliers.
- Maximizing the purchasing power of the company, to reduce total cost of ownership and increase efficiencies and measure these savings.
- Ensuring timely and accurate placement of purchase orders/contracts in accordance with internal customer requirements and the approved supplier list, maximizing savings achieved in each transaction.
- Entering purchase orders into the ERP system.
- Protecting the company through sound commercial and legal terms incorporated in the purchase order or contract.
- Effectively issuing requests for proposals, analyzing technical and commercial responses from suppliers on required products and services, negotiating the requirements and sourcing the requirement through accepted suppliers.
- Identifying and implementing pricing agreements with preferred suppliers for continuous improvement and cost savings.
- Managing all blanket orders to ensure expiration dates do not lapse before renewal.
- Establishing additional blanket orders and/or contracts where beneficial.
- Displays proficient knowledge and use of SAP and Oracle R2 procurement and reporting modules.
- Proficient in the use of Google Workspace products (Slides, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Docs) and email.
Pay: $29 - $29.38 per hour.
Shift: First.
Work hours:
8 AM - 5 PM.
