Senior Business Development Officer – SBA 7(a)
Location: Western Region (Remote with Travel)
Compensation: ~$120K base (flexible) + Uncapped Monthly Commissions
Client: Nationwide SBA Preferred Lender
OverviewWe are partnering with a nationwide SBA Preferred Lender to identify an experienced Senior Business Development Officer specializing in SBA 7(a) lending. This individual will be responsible for originating new SBA loan opportunities, developing strong referral networks, and driving production within the Western region.
Key Responsibilities- Originate SBA 7(a) loans as a generalist across diverse industries
- Develop, maintain, and expand a strong network of referral sources
- Actively prospect, meet with clients, and build long‑term business relationships
- Travel regularly throughout the Western region to engage prospects and partners
- Deliver consistent loan production aligned with company goals
- Collaborate with internal underwriting and closing teams to ensure a smooth lending process
- 5+ years of experience originating SBA 7(a) loans
- Proven track record of producing $15MM–$25MM+ annually
- Established network within the small business and lending community
- Strong communication, relationship‑building, and business‑development skills
- Ability to work independently and travel as needed
- Competitive base salary around $120K (with flexibility)
- Uncapped monthly commissions
