Clinical and Quality Transformation (CQT) helps providers improve care for their patients by implementing evidence‑based leading practices to enhance clinical quality, operational efficiency, and care delivery. Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) emphasizes long‑term, sustainable improvements in patient care operations through strong collaboration and inclusiveness across the care continuum. Our methodology stands out in the industry due to its comprehensive scope and the extensive involvement of physicians and clinicians in its implementation.
Our CPI service line is comprised of four pillars:
Care Transitions, Emergency Care Solutions, Perioperative Services Optimization, and Clinical Nursing Operations. This position focuses on the Perioperative Services Optimization (PSO) pillar.
As the PSO Managing Consultant, you will lead complex performance improvement projects, oversee project teams, and ensure high‑quality deliverables. You will drive client value through advanced analytics, industry expertise, and strategic recommendations, while demonstrating leadership, managing multiple projects, and contributing to business and staff development initiatives.
Flexibility for travel (up to 80% of time) is required for this position. Travel volume is dependent on project and client needs.
Responsibilities- Serve as engagement director for small projects within your subject‑matter expertise.
- Support project work streams under the direction of the workstream/pillar SME, or act as the SME if it is within your core knowledge.
- Assist CPI SMEs in establishing client processes/policies maximizing quality and efficiency.
- Monitor implemented work streams and provide timely feedback to CPI SMEs.
- Independently meet with clients and executives to advance project deliverables.
- Independently create client‑facing materials, including slide decks and other materials.
- Lead, manage, develop, mentor, and coach junior staff supporting the managing consultant’s projects.
- Serve as a “buddy” for new managing consultants or junior staff after one year of employment.
- Submit complete, accurate, and on‑time expense reports and time entry.
- Contribute internally to firm advancement through participation on work teams, task forces, etc.
- Notify superiors when bandwidth for additional utilization exists.
- Utilize non‑productive time toward professional continuing education or firm advancement.
- Maintain licensure and certifications in place at the time of assuming the role.
- Willingness to work in other service lines as directed/assigned.
- Serve as a client’s interim leader in their area of subject‑matter expertise.
