Commercial Contract Analyst III / Sr.
Join Williams, a Fortune 500 energy company, to drive commercial contract execution and protect company value across the full contract lifecycle. This role involves consulting and collaborating on structured commercial agreements, including PPAs, of varying complexity.
Responsibilities- Prepare and coordinate the creation, redlining, and execution of sophisticated agreements, emphasizing terms that improve value and mitigate contractual exposure.
- Lead communication with internal and external partners to collaborate on contract and document drafting, redlining, and execution.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives, tools, ideas, and process improvements to increase efficiencies.
- Assist the business in finding adequate contract solutions for customers.
- Craft new contract templates and update existing templates as needed; recommend updates to policies and guidelines for commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with partners on new business development opportunities and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing agreements related to natural gas midstream and/or power operations, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in business, energy management, finance, accounting, or paralegal studies.
- Strong, proactive organizational skills.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience with contract management systems (e.g., Cobblestone Contract Insight).
- Strong communication skills with varying audiences.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work, including coordination with multiple internal partners.
- Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and track work efficiently.
