OverviewOur client is seeking a Data / Business Analyst with a strong analytical mindset to help solve complex business problems through data analysis and SQL development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying root causes, improving business processes, and partnering with stakeholders to develop meaningful solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work with complex enterprise systems while supporting long-term technology initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze complex data, SQL procedures, and business processes to identify root causes of data issues
- Write, review, and modify T-SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures
- Develop SQL solutions to support operational reporting and business analysis
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Gather, interpret, and analyze data to provide actionable recommendations
- Document current business processes, workflows, and proposed improvements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and system behavior
- Review reports and data to identify and resolve data quality issues
- Support ongoing reporting, analytics, and data integrity initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts across business and technology teams
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role
- 2+ years of experience writing T-SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures
- Strong understanding of SQL Server and relational databases
- Experience analyzing business processes and documenting workflows
- Experience performing root cause analysis and recommending process improvements
- Knowledge of data modeling, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting platforms is a plus
- Experience with Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Naturally curious with the ability to investigate complex business problems
- Comfortable interpreting SQL code and understanding business logic
- Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Passion for solving problems through data and process improvement - Local to the Oklahoma City area or willing to commute if business needs change
