Join Nebraska VR as a VR Program Associate and make a difference. In this role you’ll support our mission of helping youth and adults with disabilities prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment. The position is based in Lincoln, NE at 84th & O St.
Job Details- Position Title: VR Program Associate (Program Associate III)
- Pay Grade: 3 – $19.939 per hour
- Job Type: Full time, 100% office environment
- Location: Lincoln, NE
- Salary: Base hourly rate with comprehensive benefits package.
- No visa sponsorship: Nebraska Department of Education does not sponsor or transfer non-immigrant work visas.
- Enter client information into the Nebraska VR data system (QE2) for intake, appointment setup, and service provision.
- Run reports, monitor and update client employment milestones.
- Upload client documents and enter task notes for all client interactions.
- Contact medical providers, schools, and other organizations to request and collect required medical, school, public benefit, and financial information.
- Perform receptionist duties, respond to basic questions about Vocational Rehabilitation, and schedule appointments for clients.
- Prepare payment authorizations, obtain goods and services approved by the client, and verify receipt.
- Contact businesses that provide goods or services to Nebraska VR to set up payment accounts.
- Perform administrative and accounting duties, including reviewing and processing accounts receivable and payable.
- Assist VR Specialists with client purchases.
- File, copy, route information, and process mail and postage.
- Operate and maintain office equipment, manage inventory, and order office supplies.
- Maintain reliable attendance, work independently, and work in various settings as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position.
- Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted to meet the minimum qualifications.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities and providing customer service.
- Experience using a client data system and maintaining accurate records.
- Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable.
