What is the position?
The Design Coordinator supports cross-functional teams by coordinating workflows, managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and helping resolve project obstacles in a fast-paced environment.
What are the responsibilities?As a Design Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate multiple design and drafting projects while ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are met
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource planning using project management tools
- Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders to provide updates and maintain alignment on deliverables
- Identify potential project risks or bottlenecks and implement solutions to keep projects moving forward
- Support the consistency and accuracy of design documentation and workflow processes
- Encourage collaboration across teams while helping maintain a productive work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, design, or a related discipline preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in project coordination, ideally within a design, drafting, or creative services setting
- PMP certification is a plus
- Experience using project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and Power Apps
- Familiarity with design-related software including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Visio
- Strong understanding of project coordination processes and workflow management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to solve problems proactively
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively with team members
- You are a born leader able to motivate employees to optimize their productivity and able to harness talent to achieve the best results.
- Roadblocks don’t intimidate you. You understand how to successfully evaluate problems and develop appropriate solutions.
