Assistant Director Purchasing

Job Summary

Assist in directing the purchasing function for multi-campus community college in compliance with the Oklahoma Competitive Bidding Act and State Regents policy.

• Prepare or assist with the preparation of bid specifications for competitive bids and distribute bid invitations to vendors.
• Maintain/establish vendor relationships. Maintain a list of eligible vendors, pricing agreements, discount sheets, equipment catalogues, etc.
• Review and approve requisitions, purchase orders, and invoice-attached requisitions to ascertain compliance with internal policy as well as local, State and Federal laws.
• Provide excellent customer service to various College departments while assisting them with their purchasing or contract needs.
• Review and approve contracts to ascertain compliance with internal policy as well as local, State and Federal laws.

• Bachelor's degree required (preference in Business, Law, Accounting, or Finance related field).
• Three years related experience.

• Five years related experience.
• Experience with Jaggaer, Banner, and Concur.
