Description
POSITIONDESCRIPTION:
Join the Earlywine Park YMCA team as a Youth and Family Department Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our community programs focused on youth and family development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and well‑being of children and families through engaging and impactful programming.
*** Starting at $13.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing department programs including Child Watch, School Age Care, and Summer Day Camp
- Support daily operations of youth and family programs, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality activities and experiences for children and families
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote program participation and address concerns
- Maintain program records, attendance, and compliance with YMCA policies and safety standards
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising program staff and volunteers
- Contribute to the development of new program ideas and initiatives to meet community needs

RequirementsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must stay current in CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
- Must complete all required annual compliance training within 30 days of hire and renewed annually
- Must be 21 years old with experience in working with infants, children, and families
- Must exemplify and support the philosophy of the YMCA
- Scheduling, supervising, and evaluating staff, address parent concerns and communicate effectively both oral and written
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in recreation, education, or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with children and families in a recreational or educational setting
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of youth programs
