JOB DESCRIPTION
This person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a construction project. The person will plan, direct and coordinate all crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are achieved. This role is classified as safety sensitive.
ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
* Lead by example that safety is the number one priority
* Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the project and crews
* Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning
* Inspect work progress, equipment or construction sites to verify safety, quality and specifications are met
* Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment
* Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
* Confer with project manager or technical personnel, other departments or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities
* Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment
* Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary
* Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or GED required
* Must have a clean driving record
* 5-6 years of quality experience in heavy civil construction
* 2-3 years of experience in managing and leading a team
