Job SummaryProject Manager: Provide management oversight for all phases of the heavy/highway construction project including coordinating employees, material and equipment; ensuring specifications are followed; and ensuring work proceeds on schedule. This also includes financial oversight of the project involving budgeting, cost tracking and calculating projections.
Activities / Tasks / Scope Project Management- Develop a cost‑effective plan and schedule for project completion following a logical pattern for resource utilization
- Select and coordinate work of subcontractors working on various phases of the project
- Oversee performance of all trade contractors
- Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure all specs and regulations are followed
- Be responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
- Supervise assistant managers, review their reports, check on reported difficulties and correct safety violations or deficiencies
- Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion on time and within budget
- Report to owners and architects about progress and any necessary modifications of plans
