Compensation:
Enjoy the security of a $75,000 guaranteed base salary while taking advantage of an aggressive, uncapped commission structure. High-performing team members have the opportunity to earn $100,000–$150,000+ annually.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze architectural plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
Prepare detailed material take-offs and cost estimates for millwork and casework projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and expectations.
Develop and submit accurate bid proposals within designated timelines.
Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best possible costs.
Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and project challenges.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and Wood Systems production methods.
Assist in value engineering efforts to propose cost-effective alternatives while maintaining design intent.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimates by conducting thorough quality control reviews.
Support and collaborate with Wood Systems internal project teams throughout the lifespan of all awarded projects
Assist with pricing any change orders that may arise on awarded projects
Monitor project performance to improve upon future bids
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in estimating or management within the millwork, woodworking, or construction industry.
Strong understanding of woodwork fabrication, materials, and finishes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
