Role Description

The Estimator is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Day‑to‑day tasks include reviewing architectural and engineering plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and analyzing labour, material, and subcontractor costs. The Estimator will request and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors, build detailed proposals, and collaborate with project managers and leadership to develop budgets and value‑engineering options.

This role also involves maintaining cost databases, tracking market pricing trends, and contributing to pre‑construction planning and scheduling. The Estimator will interact regularly with internal teams and clients to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and support timely, well‑documented bids.

Qualifications
  • Strong estimating and preconstruction skills, including blueprint reading, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and construction management tools.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving abilities for evaluating proposals and pricing options.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
  • Experience in commercial construction estimating or related field.
