Cowen Construction, a fourth-generation Oklahoma Construction Company established in 1896, is recruiting for a limited number of qualified Construction Project Coordinators.

Project types include commercial mid-rise, retail, mixed-use, medical, hospitality, and multi-family. We are looking for a proactive, take-charge building professional who takes pride in delivering excellence.
Responsibilities- Work with assigned Building Team in communicating at the highest level with clients, architects, engineers, design partners, subcontractors, trades, and internal staff.
- Assists Project Manager with coordination of commercial projects ensuring non-compromised quality, schedule management, safety, and budget control.
- Coordinates and reviews shop drawings and submittals.
- Interfaces with the Architect’s Representative on shop drawings and submittals.
- Establishes and follows up on delivery dates for long lead time items and expediting material orders.
- Responsible for the creation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals for equipment to be turned over to the Owner at project end and review of as-built drawings.
- As applicable, the ability to manage multiple projects at various locations concurrently.
- Manages and sets client expectations and professionally addresses concerns or issue escalation.
- Assist estimating department in bidding process and accepting handoff of awarded projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Work with others as a team player.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid communication skills.
- Results-driven, with the ability to effectively manage and follow up on multiple priorities.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work with construction management software.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
