CMT Technician
Join our team as a CMT Technician and play a crucial role in supporting field testing and inspection activities on active construction sites. In this dynamic role, you will contribute to concrete, soils, and general construction materials testing, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. You will work closely with contractors, navigate various equipment, and adapt to weather conditions and changing jobsite needs.
Responsibilities- Assist with field testing and inspection activities on active construction sites.
- Support concrete, soils, and general construction materials testing.
- Work around contractors, equipment, weather conditions, and changing jobsite needs.
- Collect samples, perform basic testing, and document results under direction.
- Travel to job sites based on project needs.
- Work long hours or random hours as required by construction schedules.
- Learn field procedures, safety expectations, and testing documentation standards.
- Experience in the construction industry or working around active job sites.
- Comfortable with long or random hours due to project schedules and site needs.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, dust, and mud.
- Reliability to show up on time, dependability, and willingness to take direction.
- Eagerness to learn CMT testing, inspection documentation, and certification paths.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous construction industry experience required.
- Ability to perform physical field work and carry testing equipment.
- Strong attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
This is a field-based role on active construction sites, requiring outdoor work in varying weather conditions and jobsite environments. The schedule may include early mornings, long days, random hours, and changes based on project demands. Comfort with working around equipment, contractors, site traffic, and uneven terrain is necessary. Entry into the construction materials testing and engineering industry offers hands-on training with opportunities to grow into certified technician roles, providing exposure to multiple types of construction projects and testing procedures.
A signing bonus and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
