Join us at the Bronson Brookside Library as a part of the Children's Department! Are you passionate about helping people and creating exceptional experiences? Do you thrive in a dynamic, children-focused environment? Tulsa City-County Library is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Customer Service Assistant!

As a vital part of our Bronson Brookside team, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes customers, supports Children's programming and help address behavior; a tolerance for child-level energy and noise is beneficial. Some of our special services include regular story times, Build-a-Reader programming and be sure to enjoy Huck's Hideaway Children's Patio! Customer Service Assistants also help navigate library services, and ensures our spaces are organized, inviting, and accessible.

Whether you're assisting with checkouts, guiding users through technology, or supporting library programs, your work will make a meaningful impact every day.

Location: 4607 S. Madison Place, Tulsa, 74105

Salary: $14.42 an hour

Status: Part-Time, 20 hours a week

Work Schedule:

Tuesdays: 10:00am - 2:00pm

Thursdays: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Saturdays: 8:30am - 5:00pm

The Customer Service Assistant will:
  • Provide top-notch customer service in person and over the phone
  • Assist with library materials: check in/out, renewals, sorting, and shelving
  • Help customers use self-checkout machines and digital tools
  • Issue and update library cards
  • Maintain neat and organized service areas
  • Support programming and tech help as needed

What We're Looking For:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with basic technology and a willingness to learn more
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • A team player who's adaptable and ready to jump in wherever needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus
