Position Summary
Records Clerk/Cashier – Supreme Court, Agency 5, Lincoln, NE. The role involves clerical duties under immediate supervision in a county court, including handling routine inquiries and maintaining court records. Salary is $35,264.16 annually, with potential for a higher starting pay based on education and experience. Successful completion of the probation period yields a 2.5% post‑probation increase. Annual cost‑of‑living adjustments are applied on July1, subject to state approval.
Job DutiesMinimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties.
- All educational credits must be from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Department of Education.
Knowledge and skills required include:
- Customer service principles and interpersonal communication.
- Computer proficiency and related software applications.
- Basic knowledge of criminal coding concepts, federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Data entry techniques and record‑keeping procedures.
- Ability to review reports for accuracy and maintain court records.
Physical requirements:
Primarily sedentary work, with slight physical effort not exceeding 20
LBS.
