Customer Service Rep, Business Office; Tulsa or OKC

One Gas is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to manage intermediate level accounting tasks involving customer requests, payments, and account reconciliation. The role requires direct interaction with customers, staff, and third‑party systems to resolve service, billing, and payment disputes.

• Process and reconcile customer account activity using office equipment (computers, calculators, multifunctional devices, and skip‑tracing software).
• Assist customers, employees, and other stakeholders in person, by telephone, and via electronic communication with service/refund requests, account inquiries, and billing disputes.
• Negotiate payment arrangements for gas bills and provide information about governmental agencies and special assistance programs.
• Analyze customer usage and payment history; process field service orders, electronic work queues, and customer payments.
• Maintain logs and records for customer payments, duplicate bills, service orders, account adjustments, follow‑up actions, bill breakdowns, complaints, and social service agency pledges.
• Attend regularly and reliably; perform additional duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of and proficiency with office equipment, including keyboards, typewriters, and calculators.
• Experience applying basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division), decimals, and percentages.
• Understanding of customer service and collection policies and procedures.
• Experience and training in customer relations, interpersonal skills, deposit requirements, and payment schedules.
• Proficiency with customer service system applications.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States; no immigration sponsorship provided.
• Physical ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds up to 5 times per day and up to 20 pounds up to 2 times per day.
• Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury.
• Skill in operating required tools and equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Visual acuity sufficient for job duties.
