Position Summary

Have you ever started something you had a passion for, but for some reason or other, not seen it through to the end? Many of us have done that at some point in our lives, and often we live to regret that decision…especially if it was life changing. More students than we’d like face situations or difficulties and decide to drop out of school rather than persevere;

your job will be to help those students rediscover their passion for the skilled trade they chose and bring them back to school to live their dream.

As part of the campus Student Services team, the successful applicant for this role will use their innate positivity and powers of persuasion to engage students who have dropped out of school. Come join an enthusiastic, dedicated team of education professionals. You will be making phone calls, emailing, texting, and generally doing what you can to reconnect with them and help them work through the issue(s) that caused them to drop out, and then nudge them to rediscover the passion that caused them to enroll the first time.

You will help them get their dreams and their lives back on track.

We don’t underestimate the challenge of this role; not everyone will want to come back…and that’s okay. But how good will it feel to help those who do rediscover their passion for a life in the skilled trades?

Role Responsibilities
  • Engage with previously enrolled students who have dropped out and encourage them to re-enroll.
  • Conduct phone, email, and/or in-person conversations to help these students overcome any obstacles to re-enrollment and rediscover their passion for the trade.

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, including problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and strong student focus to inspire, engage, and coach disengaged students to reengage with school.
  • A proven self-starter who continually pursues learning opportunities.
