Description:

* 5 years' experience working on CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill equipment is required.

* Additionally, extensive knowledge of CNC machining including shop math, safety, print reading and precision measurement required.

* NIMS or equivalent CNC certification preferred.

* Ability to structure training and relate concepts to adult learners.

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to work two nights per week, 6 - 10pm, as scheduled throughout the spring, summer, and fall semesters.

Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.

* Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.

* Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.

* Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.

* Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.

* Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e.

- prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)

* Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.

* Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.

* Perform all duties as assigned by management from time to time.
