JOB DESCRIPTION

In support of ORU's mission to develop whole leaders for the whole world, and in conjunction with Title Ill grant retention and graduation rate goals, serve as a resource for undergraduate at-risk students to foster their success and persistence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Academic Coaching

* Provide ongoing support and coaching to at-risk students.

* Assist students with developing and implementing individual strategies for success.

* Establishes and builds relationships with assigned students.

* Tracks students' attendance and grades to allow for early-intervention.

* Track and report all communication with students and prepare and maintain reports as required by supervisor.

* Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree required.

* Experience in student support services or Adult education preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

* Computer experience should include MS Word and Excel.

* Must have the ability to effectively deal with persons from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

* Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Travel:
Occasional out-of-town travel, air and ground, may be required for on-going training and national conference attendance. The ability and willingness to travel and work occasional nights and weekends is required.
