Position

Description:

* 3-5 years' experience working as a Automotive Refinishing Technician in an automotive repair facility.

* ASE Auto Refinishing Certification is preferred.

* Knowledgeable regarding general shop safety, proper personal safety equipment and related specialty tools.

* Provide hands-on instruction in a lab setting for adult students in both non-structural and structural analysis and damage repair.

* Monitor and provide instruction in a safe working environment; compliant with federal, state and local regulations.

* Available to teach at least two evenings a week as scheduled throughout the spring, summer, and fall terms.

Essential Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.

* Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.

* Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.

* Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.

* Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.

* Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e.

- prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)

* Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program.

* Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.

* Perform all duties as assigned by management from time to time.
