Discipline Specialist

SCHOOL YEAR ROLE

Position:
Discipline Specialist at Tulsa Honor Academy (THA) for the  academic year.

Support and cultivate school‑wide classroom cultures built on strong structures, communication, and lasting relationships. Contribute daily to the education and well-being of scholars.

• Academic Achievement – ensure scholars meet academic goals, hold high expectations, and provide necessary supports.
• Data – analyze school‑wide culture data with the Assistant Principal of Culture/Director of Scholar Intervention; adjust strategies; support leaders.
• Communication – maintain consistent and transparent communication between scholars, staff, and families.
• Behavior Intervention – supervise the Reflection Room, On Notice Scholars, and manage ISS responsibilities; issue consequences aligned to network norms.
• Relationships – model building strong, respectful relationships with scholars, families, and staff.

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Prior experience in behavior intervention preferred.
• Prior experience with restorative justice practices highly preferred.
• Prior experience in a charter school setting highly preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.

Compensation for Discipline Specialists begins at $36,000 per year. Salary is commensurate with full‑time, K‑12 experience in accredited schools. THA provides a comprehensive benefits package. For more information, visit tulsahonor.org/careers.
