Position

Description:

* 3 to 5 years of industry experience with Cisco routing and switching required.

* CCNA or higher Certification required.

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others.

* The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching classes designed to prepare students to take the CCNA Routing & Switching certification exams.

* The candidate must have experience in an educational setting or industry experience in training others and in developing and delivering presentations.

Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:

* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter.

* Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction.

* Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment.

* Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.

* Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught.

* Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.)

* Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program

* Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department.

* Perform all other duties as may be assigned by management from time to time.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent; AS or BS in computer science or related discipline preferred.

Schedule:

Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees.

$40 per hour
