Loveworks Leadership is a youth leadership organization committed to helping middle school students discover their potential and live into their dreams. Loveworks primarily reaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students with programs that focus on leadership and character development, experiential learning, and community impact. Through mentorship and hands‑on activities, the programs are designed to help students make positive life choices, discover career paths, and set them on a trajectory for personal success.
Loveworks exists to see middle school students realize their potential and live into their dreams as they develop into leaders. This is done in events, camps, and programs through our three primary approaches to students growth engaging and relevant character and leadership lessons, hands‑on experiential learning opportunities designed to cultivate students’ passions, and raising social awareness through community impact projects. In each of these areas, volunteers such as yourself drive life‑change by leading and mentoring students.
Loveworks After school Leadership Program and In‑School Leadership Classes kick off in August and run through the school year into May. In our After school Leadership Program, volunteers work directly with students in both small group and large group settings, mentoring and connecting with students while leading them in conversations and activities. Additional roles in this program include:
- Riding buses with students to Loveworks each day
- Serving snacks and dinner
- Checking in students
- Setting up learning environments
This program operates Mon‑Thurs from 3:00 pm/3:30 pm to 6:15 pm at the Loveworks Center at 219 E Gray St, Norman, OK 73069.
Each semester, Loveworks hosts multiple Leadership and Community Impact events for our students, which provides a great opportunity to serve for those who are unable to serve during the week.
In addition to these opportunities, Loveworks regularly needs help in the office with administrative and campus environment projects during our 9 am‑6 pm office hours Mon‑Fri.
