As a Discipline Specialist, you will foster a school‑wide classroom culture built on strong structures, communication, and lasting relationships. You will support the Assistant Principal of Culture/Director of Scholar Intervention and participate in professional development to improve instruction and student outcomes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Academic Achievement – use school‑wide systems to hold scholars to high expectations and provide support to meet them.
- Data Analysis – analyze culture and behavior data, collaborate with leadership, and adjust practices to ensure fidelity to THA’s mission.
- Communication – maintain consistent, transparent communication between scholars, staff, and families.
- Behavior Intervention – supervise the Reflection Room, On Notice Scholars, and daily ISS responsibilities; issue consequences aligned with network norms.
- Relationship Building – model respectful relationships with scholars and families and support staff in doing the same.
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in behavior intervention preferred.
- Prior experience with restorative justice practices highly preferred.
- Prior experience in a charter school setting highly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.
- Base salary for Discipline Specialists begins at $36,000 per year, commensurate with experience. THA offers a comprehensive benefits package.
- Reports to the Assistant Principal of Culture and Principal.
- Full‑time, year‑round (12 months). Exempt.
