Position Summary: The Coordinator of Elementary Counseling Education, Training and Development is responsible for implementing a sustainable ASCA-aligned system of tiered supports to address student emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs for elementary academic counseling. This role ensures all elementary school counselors and deans are developed, aligned with the ASCA model, and supported to provide each student with an individualized and equitable academic trajectory, leading to increased attendance and awareness of emotional intelligence.

The coordinator will work with school counselors and deans to eliminate barriers to learning, leverage data to identify and address programmatic gaps and inequities, and scale effective programs to enhance student achievement and prepare all students for academic success. Additionally, the coordinator will develop professional development initiatives and support to build school personnel knowledge and skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in counseling or a related field
  • Two years’ experience facilitating professional development systems and structures
  • Two years’ experience creating and implementing training programs
  • Experience managing a team (preferred)

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:

  • Certified School Counselor or Licensed, eligible Therapist (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Spanish speaking skills (a plus)
