Qualifications- Hold or be eligible for an Oklahoma teaching certificate.
- Meet all certification requirements, including teaching‑area endorsement in Oklahoma.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Any other alternatives deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Board.
To lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential by translating the district curriculum goals and objectives into learning experiences for each student.
Instructional Planning and Preparation- Develop instructional plans aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards, district standards, and data‑based instructional needs.
- Plan consistently to address diverse learning needs, using flexible groupings and distinguishing accommodations for SPED, ELD, and Gifted students.
- Prepare materials and equipment before lessons begin.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and contribute to meaningful team meetings.
- Maintain substitute plans including class rosters, seating charts, behavior plans, emergency plans, and identification of diverse learning groups.
- Use pacing guides and primary sources consistent with district expectations.
- Embed literacy, mathematical practices, and science process skills into lessons.
- Use assessments to evaluate student learning, group students flexibly based on data, and provide timely feedback.
- Integrate technology regularly into instruction.
- Consistently convey a positive view of learning.
- Apply higher‑level questioning techniques and scaffold questioning when necessary.
- Give clear directions and model desired skills before independent practice.
- Adjust lessons daily based on student assessment feedback.
- Engage students in active learning with varied strategies.
- Monitor independent practice by moving throughout the classroom.
- Establish a climate where students are engaged and expectations are clear.
- Monitor behavior during work time and transitions, maintaining student dignity when discussing misbehaviors.
- Interact with students, colleagues, and families positively and professionally.
- Participate in learning opportunities to understand current state standards and leading practices.
- Contribute constructively to professional learning and collaboration.
- Seek ways to contribute to the profession.
- Follow procedures, practices, and guidelines outlined by the school, district, state, and federal laws to keep students healthy and safe.
- Exhibit consistent reliability‑based behavior: punctuality, dependability, and adherence to timelines and deadlines.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Nine (9) months a year. Salary, benefits, and work year details will be established by the Board through the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Jenks Classroom Teachers Association.

EvaluationPerformance will be evaluated in accordance with the Jenks Public Schools Board of Education’s Staff Evaluation policy (2.20) and Oklahoma State Law.
Physical DemandsRegular:
Stand, sit, twist neck and trunk, bend waist, stoop, kneel, crouch; lift/move up to 20 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands; repetitive use of fingers and hands.
Occasional:
Reach overhead and above shoulder, lift/move up to 40 pounds.
Visual:
Close, color, peripheral, depth perception; ability to adjust focus.
Hearing/Speaking:
Adequate to exchange information.
