The Little Light House is seeking a reliable and flexible individuals to join our team as a Classroom Substitutes. This position involves providing support in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or associate teacher, to ensure that the educational and developmental needs of our students are met.
Responsibilities:- Assist with classroom activities
- Monitor and assist students with tasks and individualized activities
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for students
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents about student progress and behavior
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the regular classroom teacher
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
- Previous experience working with young children or individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
