Position Summary: Assist students with significant disabilities at Tulsa Transition Academy in acquiring vocational and life skills aligned with postsecondary goals. Support and supervise students in school and community settings.

Education
- Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 48 college credit hours from an accredited institution or successful passage of the Highly Qualified Test

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:

• CPR and First Aid certification (recertification as required)
• OSDE Paraprofessional Registry completion prior to employment
• Employment Consultant Training
• Annual six hours of staff development for support staff

Personnel Working with Students with Disabilities:

• Certification in district-approved relationship-building and de-escalation strategies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Preferred experience as a job coach in vocational or school settings

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to implement de-escalation and emergency strategies, including running when necessary
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit or stand long periods
