Position: Early Childhood Assistant
Reports to: Principal
Supervises: None
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Satisfy Every Student Succeeds Act requirements by:
- a. Completed at least 2 years of study (48 hrs.) at an institution of higher ed, or
- b. Hold an associate's degree or higher, or
- c. Obtained a National Career Readiness Certificate through successful completion of the ACT, Work Keys Assessment, or passed the Paraprofessional Assessment Test - Passing Score is 455, or
- d. Passed the Oklahoma General Education (OGET) Test.
- Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To have direct involvement with children for the majority of the day.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teacher regarding instructional plans.
- Assist with classroom lessons and activities.
- Facilitate small/large group activities.
- Facilitate center activities.
- Support the class behavior plan.
- Supervision of children during teacher plan period, lunch, and recess.
- Assist children with restroom needs with necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Employment Terms: Part-Time (9) month classified hourly contract

Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
Hearing/Speaking Requirements:
Adequate to exchange information.
