Early Childhood Learning Center Teacher Assistant

Monte Cassino School – Tulsa, OK

Monte Cassino School is a Catholic Benedictine, independent, co‑ed school serving grades PK3‑8. We are seeking an Early Childhood Learning Center Teaching Assistant for the 2024‑2025 school year.

• Assist in small‑group instruction and tutor pupils at the teacher’s request.
• Assist the teacher in maintaining discipline and other classroom functions.
• Help set up the classroom and prepare materials for specialized instructional units.
• Handle attendance reports and related clerical functions with the teacher.
• Assemble and hang materials on bulletin boards and keep displays current.
• Operate standard school equipment such as laminators, copiers, audiovisual equipment, etc.
• Escort children to and from various rooms.
• Treat all students with dignity and respect.
• Work well with supervisors and other team members.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator.

• Some college preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience working with children.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
• Clear and concise communication skills.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and stoop for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to circulate among students in a classroom setting.
• Must be able to move from classroom to classroom and from building to building as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasionally required to work in poor weather conditions such as temperature, precipitation, and wind during recess and carpool duty.
