Circle of Care believes that every child deserves a safe and loving home — and every family deserves support. We’re looking for a passionate Caregiver Educator to prepare and conduct individual and/or group trainings for individuals, in support of the program's overall educational outcomes. This position works with kinship caregivers, groups, organizations, and institutions to identify, connect to, and effectively utilize community resources, while increasing awareness of kinship needs among community providers to develop resources for the betterment of kinship care.
Responsibilities- Train professionals, paraprofessionals and/or families on specific subject matter related to kinship in accordance with program curriculum and procedures.
- Facilitate training independently and/or with co-facilitators in individual and group settings.
- Administer all tests, evaluations, surveys, and other program paperwork.
- Learn all current specific subject matter to ensure information presented is accurate, practical, useful, and relevant to participants.
- Find all applicable resources to meet kinship needs.
- A strong communicator who builds trust easily
- Strong presentation and large group facilitation skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Able to maintain confidentiality, exhibit mature judgment
- Demonstrate knowledge of kinship care, children, and families
- Committed to Christ-centered service and passionate about the mission of foster care
Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Social Work or a related social services field
- 1+ years of experience in kinship care and kinship families
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screening, and physical
- Minimum age 21 years old
- $40,000 starting salary
