Title III Academic Coach

Job Title

In support of ORU's mission to develop whole leaders for the whole world, and in conjunction with Title III grant retention and graduation rate goals, serve as a resource for undergraduate at-risk students to foster their success and persistence.

• Academic coaching
• Provide ongoing support and coaching to at-risk students.
• Assist students with developing and implementing individual strategies for success.
• Establishes and builds relationships with assigned students.
• Tracks students' attendance and grades to allow for early-intervention.
• Track and report all communication with students and prepare and maintain reports as required by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in student support services or adult education preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Computer experience should include MS Word and Excel.
• Must have the ability to effectively deal with persons from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
• Maintains compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Travel:
Occasional out-of-town travel, air and ground, may be required for on-going training and national conference attendance. The ability and willingness to travel and work occasional nights and weekends is required.
